Day Three & Four
Wednesday night, I screened “Adopt-A-Jesus” at Cincinnati Christian University and then friends took me to see The Flobots. I was beginning to feel pretty awful beforehand and came close to not going to the concert, but became very encouraged by what seems to becoming my hunger strike soundtrack.

Put your hands up and I’ll copy you”Me and Johnny 5 from The Flobots sat and talked about the hunger strike, among other things, and it was great to get their support and hear their hearts on the issue. They invited me out to their community in Denver over christmas break. Its so fantastic to begin to see how beautiful the common bond of the miracle of life can be.
Its amazing the support and awareness that is being raised. I wish I could write more but I have a pretty horrible headache. Tomorrow is day 5 with no food and at 27%, at this pace, were still looking at about another 12 days. I wanted to thank everyone who has been spreading the word and encourage you to continue to. This is only the beginning. Tonight after my screening in Indiana, kids came up to me as young as 12, and gave me the change in their pockets for these dying children. Later heard that most of them wanted to forfeit their christmas gifts if that meant possibly saving the life of a child. If only we could have such faith and innocence.
Its quite fascinating how philosophical you can become when you havent eaten, but right now I just cant even focus. My energy level is pretty horrible. Being anemic doesnt make for the best conditions to refuse food, but God has given me the grace and will continue to as long as it takes to awaken hearts. Every little bit counts. Lets reach this goal, together.
