Im beginning to wake up to the sounds of my stomach at night. Its not so much that its hurting, yet, but it sounds like a small monster inside. This is all if I can get to sleep at all between having to get up more times then I care to mention to have to go pee. Its been quite an adventure.

Its only the morning of day three, and I have already lost two pounds and have begin to see not only the encouragement and prayers show up, but huge amounts of hate mail. Some kids decided to send me the link of an online forum where they are just having a field day bashing me and encouraging everyone to send me pictures of their 3 meals a day. Its amazing because these things have happened so many times in the past, it simply doesnt bother me anymore. What does bother me is considering how staggering it would be to someone who was actually starving with NO chance of getting the meal to off put the pain of their hunger, and getting a letter of how they deserved to go hungry with a picture of someones food they had that night. How far disconnected we have become from the very ones who God has called us to restore.

I keep getting folks ask me if Im afraid that the money wont come, what will happen? Would I just allow myself to starve, or would I pull out just in time to restore my health. The fact is that these children have NO OPTION of being rescued from their hunger unless we are the ones providing those opportunities. If my life isnt worth $15,500 (or the facilitation of the health of 1,000,000 precious children), what have we become. When did we become the judges of who lived and died? How did we become a people who would fight to protect our comfort above the lives of innocent children whos lives slip away every single day from very preventable diseases? God forgive us. Give us new perspective.
